Travel Socks

For the occasional sock maker who struggles to complete a pair in less than a year, perhaps it's time to try the Travel Socks! This basic ankle sock wastes no time getting you through the heel, which for many is the most tedious part of the sock. Once this part is out of the way, you are free to work in basic stockinette stitch for inches, finishing with rounded toe decreases. This can even be a great pattern for adventurous beginners (the key is not to overthink it!).

Fixation Splash is a perfect yarn for these socks! The blend of cotton and elastic is just right for creating an easy-care sock with quite a bit of give. Amazingly, one skein should be enough to create a pair of ankle socks, even for larger feet. If you are concerned about yardage and fit, investing in a second skein won't break the bank.
